Houston Monarch Story

Monarch Butterfly

The Houston Monarch Story is an interactive art installation inspired by the need to provide an essential habitat for Monarch butterflies as they journey through Texas. This pollinator prairie is home to over 500 native plants and is animated by Monarch sculptures designed by Michelle Matthews.

Visit the Houston Monarch Story at Buffalo Bayou Park

The Houston Monarch Story is located on the south side of Buffalo Bayou (view map), just east of Jackson Hill Pedestrian Bridge. Parking is recommended at the 300 block of Jackson Hill Street off Memorial Drive. Limited parking may be available near the Flora restaurant, 3422 Allen Parkway.
